2023 Book Week at SHHS

Dress as a Book Character CosPlay Event

In order to participate you MUST return your permission note.
When: Thursday 24 August  - Lunch and Session 5
Who: Students who return their note
Where: SHHS Library
Prizes will be awarded for:
  • Best dressed student in each Year group
  • Most imaginitive costume
Please return your *permission slip to Ms Costello in the Library by 23 Aug.

To celebrate Book Week 2023 SHHS will be running an Extreme Reading Photo Competition.
Share a selfie of yourself reading in a strange place or a weird way to win prizes.


Our Judging Panel will award prizes for:
  1. most unusual location
  2. best dressed
  3. most creative
  4. most humorous
Prizes will include books, stationery and chocolates.
Competition closes 1st Sept 2023.

How to enter: 
  1. Students take a photo of themselves extreme reading 
  2. Email the image to Ms Costello - [email protected]
     See last year's winning entries below
Competition rules:
To be eligible students must: 
  • attend SHHS
  • only share photos of themselves. There should be no other person/s in the photo.
  • have parent permission and authority to publish
  • adhere to NSW DoE Respectful, Responsible and Safe digital behaviour expectations.
